PitchPlay members attended Pre-Season Preparation Workshop delivered by current Peterborough United Strength & Conditioning Coach, Neal Lattimore.

As pre-season continues to ramp up for most players in the UK, there was no better time for PitchPlay members to attend a workshop lead by Neal Lattimore. Lattimore, current first team Strength & Conditioning Coach at English Football League One side Peterborough United, to cover nutrition and strength & conditioning topics, that will benefit players as they continue their pre-season schedules.

"Having unparalleled access to an industry expert like Neal, will be instrumental in the development of these players.

The focus for this workshop was on nutrition requirements for a professional football, integrating sprinting and high speed running to your training, managing training load and the importance of strength and conditioning.

Joe England, Director at PitchPlay said “It was great to welcome Neal in to deliver a workshop to our members. There was a huge amount that our members can take to implement within their own plans and training schedules.”

England continued “The group was really varied, from players coming back from long term injuries to those ready to push themselves playing and studying, to those trialling with clubs in the hope to secure a professional contract. Having unparalleled access to an industry expert like Neal, will be instrumental in the development of these players.”

Workshops and Life Skill sessions are just one of the benefits to being a PitchPlay member on one of the Welfare Plans. The main objectives of these workshops are to provide learning opportunities to players that will benefit their footballing development.
