Our Team

The People Behind PitchPlay.

PitchPlay is not run by people who have read about the challenges facing international student-athletes. It is run by people who have lived them, coached through them, supported players navigating them and seen first-hand what happens when that support is absent.

This is a team of football professionals, welfare specialists and educators, who are all committed to one thing: helping international student-athletes thrive.

WHY PITCHPLAY EXISTS

PitchPlay was founded by Joe and Max are two people with deep roots in football and international student welfare who kept seeing the same problem: talented international players arriving in the UK full of ambition, and leaving without the opportunities or support they deserved.

Some had been given poor advice. Some had joined programmes that weren't right for them. Some had simply struggled with the personal challenges of living abroad and had no one in their corner when it got difficult.

PitchPlay was built to change that. To be the organisation those players needed but didn't have.
