About Us
The Beginning
PitchPlay was founded by Joe and Max, two passionate advocates for international student-athletes, who recognised a recurring issue: talented international footballers arriving with high hopes, only to face limited opportunities, poor guidance and disappointing experiences.
Having seen firsthand how many skilled players were left without the support or exposure they needed to thrive, Joe and Max decided to take action. Drawing on their own journeys and deep understanding of the football landscape, they launched PitchPlay, a platform built to bridge the gap between potential and opportunity.

More Than a Placement Service
There are plenty of organisations that will place a player and move on. PitchPlay is not one of them. Our team stays involved with welfare check-ins, monthly calls, pastoral support and named contacts for the full duration of your programme.

We work for the player, not the club. Our recommendations are based on what's right for you and your ability, your goals, your wellbeing, not what's convenient for us.
A team with real credibility
Our delivery team includes a current Burnley FC scout, a sports psychologist working with Oxford United, ex-professional footballers, UEFA-qualified coaches and trained welfare specialists. This is genuine expertise, not a brochure claim.
Welfare built in from day one
Every player on a PitchPlay programme is assigned a named welfare officer before they arrive. That person knows your situation, checks in regularly and is available when things get difficult, because sometimes they do.
